The TT303 complies with BS EN 17352:2022 and incorporates safety features intended to address hazards associated with crushing, shearing, drawing-in, impact, trapping and imprisonment.

The emergency drop-arm function allows the arms to drop following a power failure or activation of the emergency input. The mechanism automatically resets when power is restored or the emergency condition clears.

Emergency release: The arms drop when the emergency input is activated.
Power failure: The arms drop when power is lost.
Automatic reset: The arms return to their operating position when power is restored or the emergency condition clears.
Anti-crush protection: Low-impact-force protection is incorporated into the mechanism.

A suitable wider passage should be provided where wheelchair access, access for people with reduced mobility or an escape route is required. The TT303 is not intended to serve as a standalone accessible route or to provide the required escape-route width.

The TT303 provides controlled pedestrian access and can be integrated with compatible access-control systems. Each direction can be configured for free passage, restricted passage or authorised access, depending on the requirements of the site.

Configurable operation: Nine configurable operating modes, including FREE, BARRED and CONTROLLED.
Access-control integration: Compatible with a wide range of third-party systems, including suitable card readers, scanners and biometric devices.
Controlled passage: Uses a volt-free, normally open relay contact to trigger passage. The relay trigger signal should be no longer than one second.
Bidirectional operation: Separate relay contacts are required for each controlled direction.
Passage confirmation: Available through the configured output connections.
