Our ES200 range of external security pedestrian speed gates are specifically designed for outdoor use in the harshest of conditions, rain, snow, and strong wind.

Compared to traditional tripod turnstiles, pedestrian paddle gates are more difficult to climb over and crawl under.​ There are typically FOUR security concerns associated with pedestrian entrance control gates:-

• Jumping over.

• Crawling under.

• Tailgating.

• Collusion – Wrong direction and Loitering.

Due to safety regulations, paddle leaf speed gates must put safety over security. To achieve a higher level of security some simple design rules can be applied:-

• Double leaf obstacles – Open and close quicker than a single leaf versions.

• Narrow walkways – Makes it more difficult for two people to pass at the same time.

• Longer cabinets - Increase security over shorter cabinets, providing a better chance of detecting tailgating and collusion.

• Higher obstacles - Reduces the threat of jumping over.

• Small gap under the obstacle - Reduces the threat of crawling under.

• We can also make some simple changes to the gates parameters to increase the security level, but reduces the safety level. Making changes to any parameter will increase the safety risk to uses.
