Introduction

The bank's diverse and expanding client base posed challenges for its current compliance and risk management systems.

An internal security review revealed the necessity to replace outdated security gates at one location and implement new security and safety measures for its staff at another site.

The Solution - PG300 Pedestrian Paddle Gates

The solution was divided into two phases. The first phase involved installing two groups of seven lanes, comprising 16 Evolve PG300 pedestrian paddle gates with card and face recognition detection, at one of the call centers with over 3,000 staff members.

Following a successful trial of the first phase, the second phase would be initiated. This phase would span three floors, with six groups of two lanes and 18 cabinets. Due to width restrictions and marble flooring, the lanes required surface-mounted floor plinths. All lanes were equipped with face recognition tablets to manage both entry and exit directions. In areas where lanes could not be utilized, office doors were equipped with wall-mounted face recognition tablets.

Integration of Face Recognition Technology

Face detection and recognition technologies bolster security by ensuring that only authorised individuals gain access to restricted areas, systems, or sensitive resources.

Biometric systems utilise physical or behavioral traits that are challenging to replicate, such as fingerprints, iris patterns, voice, or facial structure.

Integrating paddle gates with face recognition technology results in a contemporary access control system that enhances both security and convenience in locations like offices, airports, schools, stadiums, and transportation hubs.

Client Feed Back

We are highly impressed with the appearance of the gates and their operational speed, as well as the facial recognition technology. The integration of these gates with facial recognition has significantly enhanced the security of the buildings and the safety of our staff.

Challenges and Solutions during Installation

The primary challenge was the marble flooring and the cable routing. To address this, Evolve installed the system on a free-standing floor plinth.
