When installed in conjunction with any access control system tripod turnstiles provide a low level of entrance security.
Security and Safety
Tripod turnstile provide a low level of security as they can be easily jumped over and crawled under.
Turnstile have a few safety concern as people and objects can become entrapped between the arm and the cabinets and adjustment unit or wall.
Motorised turnstiles are covers by BS EN 17352:2022 and lists the following hazards:-
